Beds do not appear to have a texture both placed and in inventory as an item

In and around a village is when I first encountered this problem, the bed appears not to be placed but ha full functionality and collision/shadow as well as the ability to be picked up and replaced, item does have a tooltip when you hover over it in inventory but does not appear as an item in it. It does not have a missing texture, and I am using no recourse packs.
