Destroying a lectern does not update comparators through a block

Place a block behind a lectern, and a comparator behind the block to receive the signal from the lectern's pages. Increase the charge from the lectern to any level, and then destroy the lectern. The comparator will continue to emit the same charge until it receives a block update.
