version 1.14 Terrain Blocks forming what looks to be a lake rather than buildings and terrain

While traveling and coming to home base an area that has been been surrounded with cobble walls to protect animals appears as a lake or no definition.  The cobble walls, fences are all solid  water looking.   Moving more the expected blocks are formed and then moving even more the clear solid water area appears again.  Apparently the blocks needed in that immediate area are not being formed.  It is not the same issue as far away terrain taking longer to load.
