Stuck in creative mode after starting survival world, opening to lan, enabling cheats, and logging off.

I opened a survival world, opened the world to land and enabled cheats, logged off in creative mode, and now cannot use the console command to get back into survival mode. This also does not work when I open the server to LAN again and enable cheats, the console stays red.
