Flying in the ground after dying whilst flying an elytra

I was just flying around in my elytra, and I ended up dying. I respawned and was stuck flying into the ground. I couldn't get out of flying into the ground, I tried dying a few times, didn't work, but I rejoined and it was fine. It bugged me a little, so I wanted to report it. This was in a realm by the way.
