Commands / Cheats not working

The Cheats/commands are not working in the new update (1.14 update).  They worked in the previous version, 1.13.2.  I have tried creating a new world, and the / command does not work.  I have tried opening up a saved world where the / command worked previously, and it is now gone.  Fix this, please!
