Held map position not updating after putting it in an item frame

I needed to remove a map from an item frame so I could make sure I was in the right spot for making a new map. When I removed the map from the item frame, my position on the map wouldn't update even though I would be in the area the map covers.

Steps to reproduce

1) Put a non-empty map in an item frame that is in an area in the map

2) Remove the map and the position won't update
