Minecraft Crashing

I have purchased minecraft and when I started it up the launcher immediately gave a crash report without me seeing any screen, not even the mojang logo. I have not been able to open it at all. It's not a change, this is how it's been from when I started it up the first time. The log of the error is:

It is said that this happens because of video card drivers but even after updating it still does not work. I also tried to fiddle with the advanced settings and tried older versions but alas, still the same error. Any other duplicate I've seen is slightly different to mine so I think it's worth taking a look at. Thank you already.
