Other Dimensions RESET

Trying to update my server to 1.14 to see how stable it was. After going through the nether to get around faster I realized that the portal I went through was not the same and that my nether world actually reset itself. No matter how many times I put the back up of my nether back in it still continues to reset after I set it to 1.14.
