Certain snowy village houses have unconnected stairs

Snow village, unconnected entrance stairs. Spruce Stairs.

So I just made a brand new world in 1.14 and I find a snow village. The entrance to the houses are fine apart from when you find that the stairs to the entrance are unconnected (I've seen them connected on another house a few meters away, thus making me think this is a bug
