Changing Chunk View Destroys World

Put the summary of the bug you're having here

What I expected to happen was...:
when i changed to chunk view from 8 to 16 i thought i would be able to see farther

What actually happened was...:
my character started to bob up and down then move slowly where i was pointing and i couldn't jump, after 15 sec of that i fell through the world and saw everything disappear and i guess i passed bedrock cause i started to take damage as if i was in the void

Steps to Reproduce:
1. change chunks from 8 to 16
2. watch your world be destroyed as if Thanos did so!
