Chunks not loading and animals in those not loaded chunks are glitching.

Hello. I have been playing Minecraft since 2011 and have never seen this bug before. When I load into my world there are only like 2 chunks. Then I can see the animals but there are glitching by moving side to side almost and spinning in a quarter of a circle. I shot one of the animals with a crossbow and it is just red. It hasn't died and hasn't taken any damage because it took no knockback. I have done /reload and that just does nothing. It just says reloaded. Thank you for your time! Bye!
