Severe Inventory Lag. Items not dropping properly. Mouse not letting go of items.

When I drag items in the Inventory it's like dragging things through treacle, there's such a bad lag. When I let go of an item the mouse still has the item and it moves when I move the mouse, it takes some time to move an item into another box. Basically the Inventory is horrible to use at the moment.
