Minecart block glitching/ghosting

I recently discovered this glitch and found quite a few other issues on this all of them where on 1.12.1/2 or 1.13. With this glitch the basis is that sometimes when exiting a minecart you will glitch/ghost through the first block layer. All other issues stated it occurred most but not all of the time. I was making a 'secret' entrance to my base (trust me it sucks) and I discovered this not only that but instead of a solid block above me I was using a chest with a tamed cat on it. This increased my 'falling rate' by 100% and i have never experienced it not working.
