Can't Take Items From Creative Inventory

If I open the creative inventory and attempt to pull out an item, the stack I'm holding disappears immediately. It shows up for maybe a tick or two, then is gone, so I can't actually take anything from the creative inventory. This happens whether I click-and-hold or just single click.
