Eating plantable items (carrots/potatoes) not possible while looking at blocks

The Summery already well.. sums it up. I love the current version even though 1.14 isn't fully out yet. I often like to go with carrots for food most of the time as they are fairly easy to handle

But whenever a block is looked at (black outline) eating won't work.. this includes Carrots, Potatoes, Berries (and I assume Beetroot)
