While moving carpet on dead horn coral with slime blocks players can easily duplicate carpet.

I was brought to the attention of this glitch by a youtube video release one day ago (8/3/2019) Minecraft Hacker Caught Duping, in the link provided you can see a demonstration of how the contraption works.

Before submitting this issue I tested it in the latest 1.13.2 official release and can confirm that the glitch is still present and can be replicated.

 

Method

In order to perform this duplication you will need the following materials:

• 5 obisidian blocks
• 1 sticky piston
• 1 redstone power source (lever, redstone block, etc)
• 5 slime blocks
• 1 dead horn coral
• 1 carpet (any colour)

The contraption is shown in the screenshot provided. The simple method of duplicating carpet is done by placing carpet over dead horn coral and moving it using slime blocks and a sticky piston, while the arm extends an error occurs launching a seperate carpet across the air.

 

Location

No specific biome required.

Should work in any dimension (The End not tested).

Works in both singleplayer and multiplayer.
