Only half a door opens when i right click on it

every door is un-openable because only 1 block opens when i right click on it

What I expected to happen was...:
i expected the whole door to open

What actually happened was...:
the block of the door i right click on opens and the other block stays closed

Steps to Reproduce:

when i tried to reproduce it didn't work, but here are the things i did before it happened
1. i went to the nether, went to a nether fortress
2. and back to the overworld
3. then it just happened, i had to go in and out of my world and doors worked fine again
