The Book Dupe Glitch: Duplicate an entire chunk at once by breaking the world save

"Please search before creating a new issue!"
Sorry if this was posted already. I tried searching and didn't immediately find anything that covers this.

This bug has been very nicely described by BarrenDome. youtube video

Simply put, this bug is a method whereby you can exploit written books to effectively duplicate an entre chunk's worth of items by breaking the games ability to update the world save.

The method is described in the video, but I'll give a quick summary:

1. Start by creating several written books with large amounts of text. (22 of one type and 22 of the other)
2. Fill a single chest with these books in an alternating pattern then leave the remaining books in two stacks in another chest.
3. At that point you can place any items you with to duplicate into a chest in the same chunk, then re-log to force a save.
4. When you get back, simply move your items to a chest outside the chunk, unstack the last set of books similar to the first set, and relog.

The chunk will be reverted to the previous save, with your items (copied) and the books back where they were the previous time you logged out.

The way I understand it,, this is caused by the books making the chunk's save data larger than the world's save format can handle. It fails to save the chunk and just loads whatever it had on disk from before.

Suggestions to fix:
I would move the book data out of the book items themselves and store them in a separate file alongside the world, similar to how village data it normally handled.

The other alternative is to invalidate the chunk, but you probably don't want to do that. .-.
