entering a base with too many entities crashes my game (Not sure if bug)

I have a base in my survival world that i've spent about 3 months on, and I don't want to give up the world. So basically I have a LOT of entities on my base. Like probably 100 or so. Whenever I enter a certain area around my base, the game crashes. The reason is "game crashed whilst ticking entities." So, please help if you can.
