Hoppers do not accept or distribute any items.

It appears that in the latest snapshot hoppers do not work anymore. They would not accept iron ore from a chest on top and would not place the iron into the furnace below. I also tried to AFK fish and in the morning I saw the hopper didn't collect the items that were caught. the items were in my inventory and some despawned.
