Llamas spit at tamed wolves

I have a dozen of tamed wolves sitting in a village. I drove llamas with a lead to the village. After I dismounted the lead, they began wandering randomly. And if they went near to a sitting tamed wolf, they began to spit at the wolf, but the wolves killed them one by one. This occours even when llama is on lead, again it spat at sitting wolf, and again wolves killed it.

Even tamed llamas spat at tamed wolf. Is this intentional?
