Null point error when attempting to ride entity on SERVER.

upon attemting to ride an entity (ie. horse, boat, minecart, pig. (i only tried horse and boat) i received a null point error and subsequent crash to desktop. Upon attempting to relog into the server i get the same null point error and crash to desktop. UNABLE TO LOG BACK INTO SERVER FOR CTD.
