End Gateway Teleports to Main Island

The end gateway only teleports me to the main island.

What I expected to happen was...:
Teleporting to the end islands

What actually happened was...:
I was teleported to the main island, which I was already on.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Be playing on a snapshot server
2. Defeat the ender dragon
3. Throw a pearl into the end gateway that spawns

Extra info:

My world was made around 19w03a, but I only ended up going to the end in 19w05a. I saw a bugfix for end gateways in the patch notes, so I had hoped this issue had gotten fixed indirectly, but it still occurs.
I would report what happens with the other gateways near end villages, but I have not gotten there yet, as the gateway on the main island doesn't work properly.

If there was a bug report for this already, I didn't see it while checking.
