an unexpected issue occurred and the game has crashed. we're sorry for the inconvenience

I got Minecraft in march of 2018 and have only been able to use it until July of 2018 when 1.13 came out. Ever since then I haven't been able to enter Minecraft. Every time I try to log into Minecraft I get a message saying "an unexpected issue occurred and the game has crashed. We're sorry for the inconvenience." I have tried everything I can and just can't get it to work. Any help would be appreciated and I just want to play Minecraft again after almost 7 months.
