Adult chickens suffocate when jumping from water onto low-clearence land

When an adult chicken jumps from a water block onto land, and the land has a gap exactly one block high (ie, from bottom to top: solid block, air block, solid block), the chicken will get "stuck" in the block overhead, causing suffocation and death.
