The leads don't work!

This is painful for me. Sometimes, but not always, it happens when I have a dog/cat, I put it on a lead and attach it to a fence. It especially does it when I place multiple leads at once on it. What it (sometimes) does is right when I attach the lead(s) to the fence, the leads go to not the fence pole, but in a different direction. I tried right-clicking the fence pole (to get the lead(s) off), it didn't work. I also tried destroying the fence pole. It didn't work. (I ran out of ideas and decided to report this.) I don't know why this happens, I don't have a clue. Please find a way to fix this. Thank you.
