Bulk trading with a villager can lock trades prematurely

When trading with a wandering trader or villager, if you try to do a bulk trade (shift-click) with more than enough materials in the villager's slots to lock the offer after multiple trades, the offer will lock after performing only one of the bulk trades. This interruption of the trading process seems to prevent the emeralds from being consumed.
