i can't jump while moving when next to blocks in this snapshot

What I expected to happen was...:
i should be able to jump while holding a movement key while next to a block 

What actually happened was...:
when next to a block and holding a movement key i was unable to jump.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. hold down any movement key (w,a,s,d) 
2. while still holding down the movement key and next to a block use the jump key (space)
