Creatures that are more than a block tall can't jump up blocks and get stuck

I noticed that there are several reports about being unable to jump when right next to a block (which is an issue I am also having) but it seems that any creatures/mobs that are larger than a block tall get stuck as well.  See attached picture of stuck creatures.  Chickens, baby mooshrooms, and baby sheep can jump up but all the adult larger animals can't.
