End gateways all teleport me to the end entrance platform.

Was really happy that I beat the Enderdragon the 1st time and can get my elytra now. End gateway just sends me back to the obisidian platform I spawned on, when entering the end. Thought it was a weird bug and resommend the Dragon. 2nd gateways does the same. Intended or bug?
