Grindstone sound is unbearable!

The grindstone sound is unbearable.  It is extremely uncomfortable for me to hear.  When I hear it I want to quit the game and never to play again. 

I realize it is subjective, but consider this: I've been playing various video games for 25+ years and I had never encountered a sound which would make me as uncomfortable as this one.
