Ender dragon doesn't spawn in the end

When accessing the end with the newest snapshot the enderdragon will not spawn. Crystals are there, endermens are spawning but no enderdragon, neither a portal or an egg appeared in the end. I have tried using the '/kill @e[type=ender_dragon]' command but it said no entites found.
