Opening world causes game crash

Bug was originally triggered while I was searching for a jungle biome on my singleplayer world. While I was moving through a swamp, the game suddenly crashed. upon re-opening the world, the game ran for about a second and immediatley crashed again. I'm able to buy a few seconds if I reduce my render distance to 2 chunks, but I will crash regardless. 

 

the difference between this and other similar bugs is that this is the only one I found that happened to a post-1.13 world.
