Null Pointer Exception When Attempting to Ride a Minecart

Similar to the bug where riding horses in a server gives you an NPE, the same thing happens to minecarts. I'm sure the issue is caused by the same thing as with horses also, and it probably happens with pigs as well, but I thought it would be helpful to report this too.
