Destroy Item button in Creative Mode doesn't work properly

What I expected to happen was...:
Clicking Left Mouse Button + Shift on the Destroy Item button in creative mode in Inventory should clear all inventory

What actually happened was...:
it cleared only 9 active slots

Steps to Reproduce:
i didn't actually understand what I should write here
