Minecraft: Java Edition End Gateways Not Working

Hello! So i recently beat the end dragon while playing on the latest 1.14 snapshot, (18w50a) and whenever i try and throw a Ender Pearl into the end gateway, it teleports me to the obsidian platform where you spawn in the end.
