Game crashes when trying to join server/world

Since the release of 1.13.2 I have had no issues at all with this problem. However when I tried to join a server today, my game froze and after a while crashed. I also tried joining a single player world which also froze and crashed. Alongside this I tried creating a new world to no avail. After this I had a look through the .minecraft folder for a crash report which wasn't there. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the game, removing all the files. Again I am having the same issue. I have also spoken to other people who have had the exact same issue on this day.
