Taming a dog results in getting A Complete Catalogue achievement

When taming an animal for the first time, specifically a dog, you get an achievement called [A Complete Catalogue] as well as the [Best Friends Forever]

What I expected to happen was...:
To get the achievement [Best Friends Forever] and tame the dog

What actually happened was...:
Got the achievement [Best Friends Forever] and tamed the dog, but also received [A Complete Catalogue] achievement

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have bones in main-hand (had mine in slot 4)
2. Tame the dog (got it tamed on second bone)
3. Bug happened here
