Containers lose their items in the nether after relogging sometimes.

I noticed that containers holding items lose their items sometimes. These containers are in the nether in a chunk with a nether portal which is linked up to spawn chunk. The area seems to be loaded according to a command that can see entities over there. But when I leave the nether and relog sometimes I lose the items there.
