No possibility to deactivate the VBO's in the latest versions

Since the possibility to use VBO's no longer exists, (since version 18w44a) I can not play Minecraft anymore. As I've noticed, I'm not the only one who has the problem that the game crashes. It would be a shame never to be able to play the newest versions again.
