Book and Quill Text Formatting

Unable to insert the silcrow (§) into books, signs, or chat for text formatting. Copy/Pasting and the ALT code does not insert the silcrow. Below is the result of copy/pasting the example text from the Wiki to the Book and Quill in Minecraft.
