"Exception while ticking" crash when Scaffolding falls onto a Shulker Box

How to reproduce:

• Build a scaffolding structure away from the support blocks until one block reaches the limit and falls down
• Place a Shulker Box below the falling block
  →  The game crashes and renders the world unrecoverable

This is also reproducible by shift-clicking the top of the shulker box with scaffolding, causing an "Unexpected Error" crash.
