problem with silk touch

i have silk touch-mending-efficiency V pickaxe, and, every time i break a block, ti reappears for a moment and then disappears. it is annoying, and, real problem goes when i break falling blocks, like sand or gravel, when broken block doesn't allow next to fall properly.
