Chunk error

I was in a lan and died to a little zombie. I pressed 'respawn' and then the screen went blank. I showed my cordinates to my friend and he came to the cordinates, and my character was there but even when he hit me I wouldnt move. I told him to kill me (in game) and the same thing happened again. Then I quitted and came back and everything was alright.
