When a player dies, all chunks will unload without reloading.

If a player dies in survival, the world will unload all chunks, but they will not reload. Using F3 + A to reload all chunks will not reload the chunks.

I found if you restart the world (Quitting and rejoining) it will reload the chunks, however.
