Melons placed over nearby seeds

Melons break each other

What I expected to happen was...:
Not to have my melon plants destroyed by melon plants

What actually happened was...:
The melon seeds I have next to each other sometimes places the melon over the other seeds.

Steps to Reproduce:
It happens on its own. But so far I have only seen it in my buffet world using Badlands Plateau

All the dirt is manually places from mines and is next to water and red sand.
