Day/Night flicker

After dying on hardcore mode at night I made a new creative world and I started off dead I then re-spawned and the time was flickering between day and night. I tried setting the time to day to stop it but it didn't stop. I also made a new world and it was still happening. It only stopped when I re-launched the game.
