Middle clicking bamboo saplings doesn't work

 if you middle click on a bamboo sapling
you do not get bamboo in your inventory

What I expected to happen was...:
to receive a bamboo in the current main hand slot

What actually happened was...:
nothing

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get in creative mode
2. Place a bamboo/bamboo sapling
3. Middle click it
4. Done
