Shulker box duplication when crafting

What I expected to happen was...:
The shulker box would be colored.

What actually happened was...:
It gave me a duplicated item (without coloring the shulker box, but this bug is already known), most of the time it would be just a visual glitch, but after enough attempts it gave me one that wasn't just a visual glitch.

Steps to Reproduce:

Get a shulker box.

Add a color to the crafting grid.

Move it a couple of times around in a crafting grid.

Get a visual glitch of a shulker box/dye being duplicate.

Take the items out of the crafting grid. (or use esc to drop the items, this seems to have a higher chance to duplicate the items)

Try interacting with the duplicated item.

If it doesn't glitch out of existence, the item has been duplicated.

 

The example shown in the screenshot works all the time.

If you place the dye in before the shulker box, the dye will be duplicated.

This seems to only work with shulker boxes however, and not any other item (as far as I know)
